Pyjama has been around for a very long time and it is well known all over the world. A pyjama is a two piece garment consists of a long trousers and a shirt. Pyjama used to be a long sleeve shirt with a row of buttons in front paired with matching long pants. Since then, pyjama has evolved into different designs suitable for the modern generation. Nightie on the other hand, is a short nightgown similar to a shift dress. Pyjamas are suitable for boys or girls whereas nighties are just for the girls.
